The Basilica Cathedral of St. Anne, in Baroque style on a Roman infrastructure, has successive architectural phases.

The lower crypt is the remains of a 1st century Roman building used for religious purposes since Carolingian times. It consists of a corridor leading to a cellar where the local tradition is that the veil of Saint Anne has been found.

The upper crypt of the 11th century consists of a small nave of about 8 m ending in an apse. On the sides, 7 niches contain Christian sarcophagi. The altar consists of a pre-Romanesque lapidary table placed on a Roman burial stone, with inscriptions on three sides.

The cathedral of the first Christian centuries, probably destroyed following the invasions, was rebuilt in the 11th century. Important transformations were carried out in the 14th and 18th centuries, profoundly modifying the central nave.

The Sainte-Anne chapel was built in the middle of the 17th century. Anne of Austria made a significant contribution to the financing of the work.

The treasure installed in the sacristy consists of many rare pieces of great value (religious objects, reliquaries, manuscripts and incunabula, priestly garments) An Arab standard brought back from the Crusades and woven in the 11th century for a kaliph is known as the Sainte-Anne sail. It was used to cover and uncover the relics during processions.

At the side of the cathedral, the Clock Tower or belfry, a portal tower built from 1561 to 1563 in a beautiful Provencal Gothic style double arch vaulted structure.
