Be aware that US 75 in this area no longer exists, and that route is now carried southeast from Dallas by Interstate 45. The roads are now better labeled and the fencing around the cemetery has changed, but the cemetery itself isn't difficult to find. The cemetery is very well-maintained, making the benchmark disk very easy to locate. Stand in the gravel driveway at the main gate that faces FM 416, and look down as you look east. There's the concrete post, just a bit in front of you to the right.

TO REACH FROM THE BURLINGTON-ROCK ISLAND RAILROAD OVERPASS OVER U.S. HIGHWAY NO.75 AT STREETMAN, PROCEED 0.4 MILE EAST ALONG U.S. HIGHWAY NO.75, THENCE 1.3 MILE NORTH, 1.6 MILE NORTHEAST AND 0.2 MILE NORTHWEST ALONG DIRT ROADS. BENCH MARK IS AT THE MAIN ENTRANCE TO THE BIRDSTON CEMETERY, 131.0 FEET SOUTHEAST OF THE CENTER OF A DIRT ROAD LEADING NORTHEAST, 36.0 FEET NORTHEAST OF THE CENTER OF A NORTHWEST-SOUTHEAST DIRT ROAD, 16.0 FEET SOUTHEAST OF THE CENTER OF THE MAIN ENTRANCE TO THE CEMETERY, 8.3 FEET SOUTHEAST OF THE SOUTHEAST EDGE OF A 2-FOOT SQUARE BRICK GATE POST, 2.0 FEET NORTHWEST OF A REFERENCE POST, SET IN A CONCRETE POST ABOUT 2 FEET ABOVE THE ROAD AND PROJECTING 0.3 FOOT.
