The marker is of gray granite, with black lettering, and it reads:

Willie Gibson
April 24, 1882
June 17, 1883

First Burial in
Greenwood Cemetery

-----

Willie is buried with his parents and a sibling. His headstone is one of many headstones in this cemetery where someone has, for lack of a better term, "inked" the inscriptions in order to improve legibility. While this does have the desired effect, time will tell whether this will harm the monuments. Below a mourning dove is:

Willie C.

Son of
H.W. & S.E.
Gibson.

Born
Apr. 24, 1882
Died
June 17, 1883
FIRST - Classification Variable: Person or Group
