The tall welcome sign is located on the south side of NY Route 104 as it enters the Town of Hartland, established in 1812.
The main portion of the yellow background sign greets visitors with a "Welcome to Hartland". The smaller upper sign shows a giant heart in the middle of forested and agricultural lands.
