The Enola Low Grade Rail Trail runs next to the live Norfolk Southern Railroad tracks and is separated from the tracks with a six foot tall wire fence. Thanks to the fence, the views of the Susquehanna River are not as scenic as they might be. But, walk about two tenths of a mile from the parking lot along the trail and notice the nice viewing 6 foot tall viewing tower that makes all the difference in the way one looks at the river.
The platform was built with money supplied by the Norfolk Southern Railroad who required that the chain link fence separates the trail from the train tracks.
