George Lucas and his crew used the beautiful Plaza de España to represent Theed, capital city of the planet Naboo, in all three of the Star Wars "prequel" films. This waymark is a corridor on the north side of the plaza seen in Episode II, where the young, love-stricken Jedi padawan Anakin Skywalker (portrayed by Hayden Christensen) and Senator Padmé Amidala (Natalie Portman) are seen walking and discussing a possible future together. Of course R2D2 is right behind them and sees and hears all.
This still from the film shows the actors walking along a corridor on the north side of the Plaza.
Here is a photo of that corridor taken from very nearly the same location as the previous image.
Visit Instructions:New logs for waymarks must include a photo of the location. The photo should try and match, to the extent possible, the original present-day photo posted for the waymark.
