The southern bus station is the departure point from buses travelling south from Vientiane, the capital of Laos, to all destinations south. Guarding the entrance to the station are two golden lions, proudly standing upright. The lions are approximately 1.5 metres tall, and stand on a golden sphere. Easy to find.
