At the J.N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge is a visitor and education center. Access to the two story building is up a ramp. At the base of the ramp is a freestanding arch identifying the building and providing an entry way. Originally the arch was just the top arch piece mounted on 4x4 posts. But now some creative individuals have fastened a facade to cover the 4x4 posts to blend in more with the native vegetation of sea grapes. This gives an appearance of stepping into a tunnel.
