Located on Wildlife Drive at the J.N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge on Sanibel Island is an observation tower with two levels. The first level can be accessed by a ramp and on this raised level are two observation binoculars. One for adults with a step plate for youth and another one for wheelchair use. The second level which can only be accessed by stairs has one observation binocular for adults and/or youth. The adult/youth binoculars can view both the freshwater and saltwater areas of the preserve. The wheelchair accessible one can only view the freshwater area. All binoculars free to use, no coins necessary.
