This Poppy Bench can be found directly in front of the Douglas Town Hall on Ridgeway Street.
The bench is made of steel which is painted black and has a wooden slatted seat. The backrest features a number of bright red poppy flowers and a representation of the "Tower of Refuge" in silhouette in the waters of Douglas Bay
The poppies on this bench are remembrance poppies to commemorate the military personnel of Douglas and the Isle of Man who died in WWI and other military conflicts that have followed. (
