The church that this bell was part of was constructed in the early 1880s and the church was founded in 1883.
As with many country churches, this one struggled with membership up to the point of closing down in 2008.
The church building was moved to Webster, SD, in 2014, but the congregation kept the steeple with the bell inside on the property.
