"Matthew Hilke, 31, Wentzville, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2006, in Wentzville.
"Mr. Hilke was born June 10, 1975, in Washington, the son of Edward Hilke and wife Bernice, nee Bieker.
"He was a graduate of St. Francis Borgia Regional High School in Washington.
"During high school, he worked for Randy Hoelscher cleaning Franklin County Bank. He also worked at Ideaman Inc. in Union.
"He started his own DJ service and for the past six years worked at General Motors in Wentzville.
"Mr. Hilke was the president of the Langtree Subdivision Committee in Wentzville.
"He is survived by his parents, Edward and Bernice Hilke, Washington; his grandparents, Bernard and Elfrieda Bieker, Washington; aunts, uncles and cousins; other relatives and many friends.
"Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 9, at St. Francis Borgia Church, Washington, with the Rev. Greg Klump officiating.
"Burial was in the church cemetery.
"Memorials to the Franklin County Humane Society or St. Francis Borgia Regional High School are preferred."
