Cobar Court House is a substantial two-storey building flanked on either side by a single-storey wing. It is constructed of face bricks with rendered detailing. The lower façade is covered by a verandah that returns on both elevations and encircles both hipped wings. The verandah is supported by timber posts and beams and has cast iron "lace" frieze and brackets.
