De kapel ligt op een kruising in de buurtschap Schilberg. Deze buurtschap, gelegen tegen de Belgische grens tussen Noorbeek, Hoogcrutz, De Planck en Slenaken hoort gedeeltelijk bij de gemeente Margraten, gedeeltelijk bij de gemeente Gulpen-Wittem. Tegenover de kapel, die gemarkeerd wordt door bomen en een groenvoorziening liggen een oude zwingelput en een wegkruis.
Open kapel van kunradersteen met torentje aan de achterzijde.
De kapel dateert uit 1946 en werd gebouwd als dank voor het goed doorkomen van de oorlog. De kapel werd ingrijpend gerestaureerd in 2000.

The chapel is located at a junction in the hamlet of Schilberg. This hamlet, located at the Belgian border between Noorbeek, Hoogcrutz, De Planck and Slenaken is part of the municipality of Margraten, partly with the municipality of Gulpen-Wittem. Opposite the chapel, which is marked by trees and a green area, there is an old winding pit and a road cross.

The chapel dates from 1946 and was built as a thank you for the good continuation of the war. The chapel was drastically restored in 2000.
