Just a little northwest of the Gungak Rest Area is the local Gungal Bushfire Brigade (as it was known). It is a double-bay roller-door light green Colorbond shed, in a paddock behind a typical double-swinging farm gate, with only a clasp to keep it shut - apart from dragging on the ground.
There is no concrete pad in front, and no auxilliary water tank here. Built for functional housing of the fire vehicles.
