The Utah Historical Society assigned this location an inventory number of CR-07-689, and that number is used by the National Register of Historic Places in the nomination form for the Helper Commercial District. The nomination form describes the building thusly:
One story red brick commercial building originally owned by A. Elegante. During the early thirties the main floor of the building housed the Canyon Pool Hall, operated by Angelo Pascuzzi and the branch office of the of the Salt Lake and Eastern Utah Stage line. The Liberty Cafe, operated in 1932 by George Kourakis, occupied the basement of the building. Much of the front façade has been bricked over.
