Known as St.Mary's, this Roman Catholic church is situated in the town of Stonehaven on the North Sea coast of Scotland some ten miles south of the city of Aberdeen.
The building was funded by Mrs Eliza Maria Hepburn and was built in 1877 to a design by J Russell Mackenzie.
It is a small gothic church with detailing derived from Notre-Dame-le-Grand, Poitiers, and Chatres. Its main feature is a four stage tower, with belfry and octagonal spire on the south-east corner to the rear of the church.
The church is situated on Arbuthnot Place, close to the harbour and it remains the only church left in the old part of the town.
Services are on Sundays at 11.30am and Saturday Vigil at 6.30pm.
