The church traces its roots to 1820 when it was built for the Congregationalist faithful. It was remodelled in 1847.
During the period from the mid 1850'suntil 1865, this was a stop on the Underground Railroad.
In 1870 the congregation opted to realign with American Presbyterianism. It remained so until 1928, when the congregation merged with the local American Baptist church to become a Federated Church.
The church is still active today. It is aligned with both Presbyterian Church USA and American Baptist Churches USA.
Services are Sundays @ 10:30 AM.
