The Goldberg & Joseph Heritage Park is located in the 100 block of E. Main Street in downtown Wilburton. Sam Goldberg was a long-time resident of Wilburton, and influential in its growth over the years. On the front wall to the park area is a plaque quoting from a local newspaper article on Sam Goldberg. It reads:

In memory of Sam Goldberg
Sam was a kind man who was not
impatient, was considerate, and he
lived a simple life. He always had
time to visit, and he disliked no one.
He was unselfish in every respect
and participated in all civic affairs. He
had strong simple qualities of a fine
human being with no pettiness in his
heart. He had love and compassion
for his fellow man.

We will miss Sam, and we will never
forget him

(Appeared in the Latimer County News
Tribune on April 10, 1975, written by Mae Mings.)
