The Maggi family are many in the town of Wilburton. This tree is dedicated to an early settler of the town, by his son Deno. (Deno was born in 1921 and worked with Mobil Oil Co. as shown on the plaque). Arturo Maggi was born April 23, 1885 and passed away on November 19, 1970.

As you step through the overhead arch into the park, the tree is on your right, planted within a two foot high square brick retaining wall, planted with three shrubs. A bronze plaque on the wall reads:

In memory of
Arturo Maggi
1905 Italian Immigrant & Coal Miner
Deno Maggi 1921 Mobil Oil Co.

Location of the tree: Goldberg & Joseph Heritage Park
