This cemented-stone Gothic-styled church, was built as a Methodist Church in 1879. On the front, facing Main South Road is a brushed stainless steel plaque, for the 100 year anniversary, with the following inscription:

--- - ---
To the Glory of God
and to Commemorate
100 Years of Worship
in this Church
-- - -- 1879 - 1979 -- - --
Unveiled by
His Excellency
Mr. Keith D. Seaman
O.B.E. K. St.J.
Governor of South Australia
25th August 1979
--- - ---

BTW - In 1977 many of the Methodist Churches (along with many Presbyterian and Congregational churches) combined to become the Uniting Church of Australia - just two years before the 100 year Anniversary of would have been the Methodist Church celebration.

There is a commemorative 'Foundation Stone' tablet at the front of the church for the 70th Anniversary, laid by Mrs B. Stacey, on Agust 27th 1949.
