Partnering with HardyP3 near Brenham, TX (371.53 miles away). HardyP3's location was at Yagua Creek Park. They viewed the ISS pass that had a max. altitute of 53º at 19:58:37, mag -3.6., approximately 4 minutes before my max. at 20:02:42.
Location: SW corner of 33rd and Bryant Ave., at the NW corner of First Baptist Church
There are a lot of tall lights here, so we had to position ourselves just right in order to watch for the ISS to pass overhead. My parents stood closer to the street in the dark, while I was back about a hundred feet south, in the parking lot. We were worried at first, since the sky was so cloudy and we've had rain all week, but at about 9:02 we saw it traveling from the NW (predicted mag -3.5), almost overhead (the max height seemed more than 67º to us). We watched it till about 9:05 when it disappeared traveling SE.
