"Badly affected during the floods of August 2004, the long bar of this traditional 16th century coaching inn then underwent a complete refurbishment. Up to three guest ales may appear during the summer months, when food is also offered all day (12:00 onwards); meals are available lunchtimes and evenings in winter. The pub also offers access to large grounds with woodland walks."

"The Long Bar, with old oak beams and a warming open fire, is one of three pubs in Boscastle, serving local ales and fantastic pub food.

From a pint at the bar or a coffee in a cosy corner to a hearty Cornish meal, this Boscastle pub is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the best of North Cornwall.

We have a great selection of beers and, ciders with Cornish ales, lagers and ciders on tap as well as a fully stocked bar. To add to our house wines, our extensive wine list is also available in the bar. Coffee and tea are served all day.

We are passionate about our food and serve the best quality, honest pub food. You are also welcome to choose from our fine dining menu in the evenings. Daily specials reflecting seasonal availability from local fishermen and farmers are posted on the blackboard. All food is prepared by the same chefs that cook our 2 AA Rosette dining menu and many of the same fresh local ingredients are used. As all our food is cooked to order, we happily cater for vegetarian, gluten free or other special dietary requirements – simply let us know as soon as you can.

Good food isn’t just for “Grown Ups” and most of the items on our bar menu can be served in smaller portions for children. We also have a separate Kids Menu, which follows the same principles as all our cooking with local ingredients freshly prepared. There is also a separate Snug area with games, colouring charts and a TV.

On Sundays, we serve a superb Sunday Roast lunch. Why not go for a walk in Boscastle or along the North Cornwall Coast Path before joining us for a delicious Sunday pub lunch? The Long Bar is dog friendly and there’s a water bowl for your dog to have a drink too.

On Wednesday evenings, you will often find local folk singers at the bar and they always welcome a new voice or musical talent. On the first Monday or every month, we hold a great quiz evening – open to all. There is something for everyone in this Boscastle pub and we are sure that you will enjoy yourself in The Long Bar.

The Long Bar is open every day from 11.00 am to 11.00 pm. Food is served Mon – Sun 12.00 to 3.00 and 6.00 to 9.00"
