Three binoculars are available to the public for viewing activity on the runways and taxiways at Fort McMurray Airport. The binos are located in the "YMM Observation Area" which is a non-secure part of the building, meaning that the public can access the location without have to go through airport screening.
One of the bino units are suitable to persons in wheelchairs.
Signage near the binos inctruct the user of airport operations and gives the user things to look for, such as runway markings and windsock direction.
To reach the observation area, enter the Arrivals section of the airport (first floor) and make your way to the the stairway located near the elevator. Follow the signs to the observation area, which is located on the third floor.
