De kapel ligt aan de rand van Oud-Valkenburg op een splitsing van twee veldwegen, de Sit-Jansbosweg en de Kapelkesveldweg, in de schaduw van van aangebrachte begroeiing. De kapel wordt omgeven door een lage haag.
De kapel dateert uit ca. 1915.
Veldkapel van mergelsteen
De open, neogotische wegkapel heeft een rechthoekig grondvlak en een zadeldak met rode dakpannen. De ingang wordt gesloten met een ijzeren hek en beschermd door plexiglas om vandalisme tegen te gaan. Hoog in de gevel is een decoratie aangebracht, terwijl op de hoeken twee pinakels de kapel versieren. Naast de kapel staat een zitbank.
De mergelsteen is van binnen in verschillende kleuren geschilderd. Aan de wand is een kruisbeeld in reliëf aangebracht. Daarvoor staat op een altaar een beeld van Moeder en Kind.

The chapel is situated on the edge of Oud-Valkenburg at a junction of two country roads, the Sit-Jansbosweg and the Kapelkesveldweg, in the shadow of the vegetation. The chapel is surrounded by a low hedge.
The chapel dates from about 1915.
Field chapel of marlstone
The open, neo-Gothic road chapel has a rectangular base and a gable roof with red roof tiles. The entrance is closed with an iron gate and protected by plexiglass to prevent vandalism. A decoration is applied high in the façade, while at the corners two pinnacles adorn the chapel. There is a bench next to the chapel.
The marlstone is painted in different colors from the inside. A crucifix is ??embossed on the wall. There is an image of Mother and Child on an altar.
