At 65 m above sea level, the Litberg is the highest peak in the district of Stade. It lies about 2.5 km south of Beckdorf in the municipality of Sauensiek. The Litberg is a small hill covered with birches, pines, oaks and alders, which originated as an ice age moraine. It forms a protected landscape area on the Geest west of the Harburg Mountains.
The tower with a height of 25 meters was built in 2008 and offers a 360° view over the Geest and in good weather even a view to Hamburg.
