The "GOLDEN PFLUG"
At the mountain Neuenahr, according to the legend, met a farmer and a dwarf. That troll told the farmer a secret: at full moon, a treasure, the most valuable part of which was a "golden plow", could be recovered from the old castle well. However, the treasure hunter should not say a word at work, no matter what happens, otherwise the treasure will remain in the possession of the earth spirits.
With the help of a fishing rod, the farmer pulled out the "Golden Plow," but the roar of a giant made him so afraid that he uttered a scream, and then the plow plummeted, and the ground closed.
The treasure hidden to this day, so it is said today, let the healing springs at the foot of the Neuenzer mountain bubble through his magic power.
The "Golden Plow" once disappeared on the Neuenahrer Berge, at the Wadenheimer Platz it reappears regularly to disappear again in the flood of the water.
