Brooks, Ronald Ronnie known to his friends as "Cowboy". Born December 14, 1943 in Orlando, Florida to Hermon Willis Brooks and Patricia Watts Brooks. He went home to be with the Lord at his home in Chuluota, FL. on May 19, 2016. He was 72. He is survived by his daughters, Amy Brooks Dykes (Buddy) Deland, FL. and Melissa "Missy" Brooks Tulp (Louis) Chuluota, FL.; grandchildren, Priscilla Smith, Clay Morris, Jenna Tulp and Brooks Tulp; three great-grandchildren, Brayden, Cash and Eli Smith; one sister Francine Nettles; two brothers, Shane Brooks (Kim) and Hoho Brooks (Debbie) and two step-sisters, Cathy O'Hare and Vicky Jude. He graduated from Maynard Evans High School in 1962 and served in the US Army Special Forces, 101st Airborne Rangers "Screaming Eagles". He then moved to Louisiana to train racehorses before coming back home to Central Florida to work in construction. He ultimately retired from Seminole County School Board. Ron's true passions were his family and his relationship with the Lord. Throughout his Life, he continued to enjoy training horses, feeding his cows, hunting and raising his Walker Hounds. Funeral services will be conducted at the First Baptist Church of Osteen on Friday, May 27, 2016 at 11:00 AM with a graveside immediately following at the Osteen Cemetery.
