Sandbanks is famous for its beaches and swimming. It has 3 natural sand beaches: Outlet Beach, located in the East Lake sector of the park, is perfect for families, with shallow waters and gentle drop off.

Outlet Beach, situated on the western shore of Lake Ontario on the East Lake Bar is the most popular, and frequently crowded, beach at the Park. The 2 kilometers long expanse of fine sand gently slopes into the water, which makes it perfect for families with young children.
At the south end of the beach, where the Outlet River separates the public beach from the lakefront campsite area, there is a pet-friendly area.
The waters also provide a great spot for board sailors, who are often seen here, even in winter!
Outlet Beach features full washrooms, as well as several family-sized picnic shelters, equipped with stand-up charcoal barbecues near the Park Amphitheater.
Near the centre of the area is Currah's Park Store and Grill, for all-day meals (expensive fast-food), as well as selling the often-forgotten sunscreen or mosquito repellent.
Convenient parking is less than 50 meters from the beach, and mobility-challenged accessible.
This is a Day-Use Facility only (07:00 to 22:00). Overnight camping is prohibited.
Please note: Lifeguards are not present at any Sandbanks Park beaches. Parents and/or guardians are solely responsible for their children's and/or guests' safety.
