The blue plaque has been mounted on a large limestone boulder which is set within a kerb retaining beach and river cobbles. This has been placed on Nursemaid's Park which is the triangle of land formed by Godyll Road, Strickland Place and Gardner Road. Mill Lane cuts off a small corner at the southern end.
