On a cream and brown striped boulder that the 'kedge-style' Anchor is attached to is a bronze plaque, which reads:

This anchor, a repica of one lost from
the vessel Rapid commemorates the
re-enactment of the First Landing
at Rapid Bay of

on the 8th September 1836
