Royal Hotel, which is the end building with the tree in front in the contemporary photo. The large two storey brick building in the centre with five windows across the upper floor is
Jack's Men's Wear. The nearest building, only partly in view, is the
F.E. Algar Building
We can't make a real good guess as to the year, or even the decade, in which the older photo here was taken. To be on the safe side we'll guess the 1920s.
