Location of arch: Jefferson St., cemetery entrance, Washington
This arch has an identical twin at the entrance on E 14th St.
The arch is huge, just like the cemetery. Standing at least 30 feet tall, (at both sites) an straddling a garden of hedges and flowers.
The arch itself, is a two columns of wrought iron, with ginger-bread design inter-spaced with Christian crosses, climbing climbing the columns and filling the 10 inch wide span of the columns.
Across the top are wrought iron bars, this as they are to hold and not be identified themselves. Four of these stretch across the gap between the columns, and carry the cemetery's name. Hanging from the center of the lowest bar is a wrought iron box with EST. 1834 identifying the time and space of the cemetery.
