Ce monument est dédié aux combattants de 14-18 (bas-relief de droite) et aux combattants de 1830 (bas-relief de gauche) même s'ils ne sont pas cités sur la stèle. La mention de 40-45 est ajoutée par la suite. Le monument est érigé à l'emplacement où se trouvait ... un vespasienne.
