El Tapatio is a very big restaurant on the east side of Perkins, south of 6th Ave. (Highway 51). As you enter the parking lot first you'll see a 17 ft. tall terra cotta fountain and a very large outdoor eating area that includes couches as well as tables of various sizes. There is another, but smaller patio on the south side of the building. The building entrance has a large star on the floor with flowers nearby and a bench. When you enter the restaurant you are greeted by a plethora of bright colors: every table top, every chair and every booth back is artistically designed. It is a gorgeous sight to see.
The food here is delicious (we've eaten the chicken fajitas and enchilada platter). The staff is fast and efficient!
