Near the Mosaic Mural Waymark, on the western end of the stone Town Hall in Victor Harbor is an oval Blue Plaque. It reads:
Town Hall
The foundation stone for the Town Hall was laid in 1904 by Sir Langdon
Bonython, Member for Barker and owner of the Advertiser newspaper.
Construction of the building was completed in 1905. The facade features
decorative elements of Classical origins, including heraldic lion heads holding
garlands which are likely reference to the building's civic use. For over a
hundred years the Town Hall has served local people and visitors as a place
for various forms of entertainment, including roller skating, concerts,
exhibitions and even boxing and wrestling matches.
