This statue is located at the entrance of the city of Cadaques.
It's a replica of the original statue created by Salvador Dali in 1972 and conserved in Vascoeuil Castle in France.
This statue is quite true to the original Bartholdi design, but his lady has both arms raised, each with a torch.
On the piedestal, there is a plaque with an "Ode to Salvador Dali" from Federico Garcia Lorca.
It is currently used as a symbol of the independance of Catalonia with 2 flags of the region and slogan "Llibertat presos politics" (Freedom of prisoners politics).
