'Deep Creek Conservation Park, comprising 4,500 hectares of coastal bushland and open sclerophyll forest, is the largest remaining block of natural habitat on the Fleurieu Peninsula.'

"Home to a large cariety of native fauna and flora, it is an important refuge for some endangered species.

"The park provides visitors with recreational opportunities including bushwalking on an extensive network of trails, camping in five campgrounds and viewing the spectacular scenery of Backstairs Passage, Kangaro Island and the rugged Deep Creek valley." [From the sign.]

The map has a legend at bottom with the following icons: Toilets; Campground; Bush Camping; Park Information (boards); Parking; Fishing; 4-Wheel Drive Access (PLEASE, TAKE NOTICE !!!); Bushwalking; No Fires Allowed; Hot Showers; Picnic Shelter; Lookout/Observation Point; Picnic Area. Also: Sealed Road; Unsealed Road; Track; Walking Trail; Heysen's Trail (multi-day hike); and Talisker Silver/Lead Mine Hike.

Also there are many hiking trails indicated: Blowhole Beach / Cobbler Hill Marrano Creek Hike; Aarn Creek Hike; Aaron Creek Circuit Hike; Goondooloo RIdge Hike; Dreep Creek Circuit Hike; Deep Creek Cove Hike Tapanappa Lookout); Deep Creek Cove (Trig Picnic Area); Forest Circuit Walk; Spring Wildflower Walk; Stringyback Loop Walk; Boat Harbor Beach Hike; and Boat Harbor Circuit Hike.

Access: CAUTION is required if it has rained recently, as I didn't have 4-wheel drive, and was on an Unsealed road, that turned out to be a waist-high mud/clay dowhill 'luge run' in my Nissan Dualis - making me feel like a ball bearing in a pin-ball machine !! Luckily I s was able to continue downhill to a better 'cross-road' and get out another way.
