In Graniteville, near the Rock of Ages Visitor Center, is this Warren Truss bridge, built in 1924.

The bridge is located near the Rock of Ages Visitor Center. Follow the directions on the web site to the visitor center, them park behind it and walk back toward the large stone sign. You should see the path and bridge from there.

The bridge is a metal truss bridge - Warren Pony type. It is 54 ft long, about 12 ft wide, and has two beefy truss sides, and line with metal railing with smaller holes. The deck is made of wood.

There is a sign bolted to the west end with the following text:

"BRIDGE NO. 24
Warren Pony Truss
1924
Formerly located on
Town Highway 48
(East Shoreham Road)
Across the Lemon Fair River
Shoreham, VT

Relocated and Restored
2006
Vermont Historic Bridge Program

Town of Barre

State of Vermont
Agency of Transportation
Division for Historic Preservation

Federal Highway Administration
Capitol Earthmoving, Inc. and
Austin Construction, Inc., Contractors"

The text on the plaque provides clues as to where the bridge was. However, it still took a significant search on the internet to find a map that indicated what 'Town Highway 48' was as this wasn't on any of the usual internet map applications. I did find a street map for the town that laid out all the town roads, each designated a number. I found 48 where it crossed the Lemon Fair River in East Shoreham village. The distance between the two locations is about 43 miles as the crow files.
