San Bruno Mountain State Park is an open-space island in the midst of urbanization. The highest points of the park are home to many broadcasting towers for communicating throughout the San Francisco peninsula. The summit, 1314 feet highs, affords outstanding views of San Francisco and Central Bay Area.

A winding Guadalupe Canyon Parkway runs east and west through the center of this mountainous park. The Daly City entry can be seen in alongside the road and from Brisbane the entry can be seen in alongside the road.

This state park is managed by the County of San Mateo.
