Archway was erected in March of 2002 through the efforts of John and Cynthia Purcell.

Archway frames the paved driveway leading to the museum. It is made of metal pipe and is painted white. At the base on each side is decorated with metal cutout sculptures. On the left is a cowboy and on the right is cactus. The top of each pole holding the arch holds a flag. On the left is the American Flag on the right is the Texas flag. The archway is made up of the name "Longhorn Museum" and on the center is a metal cutout of a longhorn steer.
