Dedicated on Veteran's Day (Nov. 11, 2014), this is America's largest Women's Veteran Monument. This sculpture which consists of seven bronze figures, a 10' wide marble fountain, and a reflecting pool, is located at Del City's Patriot Park. Joel Randell sculpted this amazing monument that was in the planning stage for three years.
The centerpiece is a fountain with five women standing on top, in a circle, and all holding hands with their backs to each other. The central fountain has two levels (a small 1' wide stream runs along the perimeter), with an approx. 60' long stream running to a reflecting pool. At the reflecting pool there is a National Guardswoman sitting with her daughter, explaining her deployment.
