Stavely is a small farming community with a population of approximately 541 residents. Its call to fame is: "Stavely: Home of Canada's 1st Indoor Rodeo".

The fire department is a small building almost looks about the size of a two door garage. It has two bays, and a fire siren mounted on top of a metal tower towards the back of the fire department. Its primary function is to summon volunteer Fire and Rescue team members and for severe weather warnings.

"The Town of Stavely is a member of the Foothills Regional Communications Centre which has its headquarters in Black Diamond, Alberta. From this Centre all 911 calls are received and forwarded to the appropriate service.
