The Stavely Museum was established in 1989 and admission is by donation. The museum has limited hours of operation and when we were there it was closed, which we feel was most unfortunate as we always enjoy these local museums.

The museum's main focus is their local history and there are several nice displays outside. One is a school bell from the Prairie Dell School District, 1908 - 1943, and a 1903 Altman Taylor Threshing Machine.

"Our collection consists of many fine displays such as:
General Store
Old Kitchen
Old Bedroom
Old Church Organ
Beauty Parlor
School
Sports
Military"

Stavely is a small farming community of approximately 541 residents and is known for being home to the first indoor rodeo in North America. They do have an interesting welcome sign with this information on the sign. You can see the Stavely Pool grain elevator in the distance where this sign is located.

When in the area be sure and visit Centennial Park with several commemorations including: WWI and WWII Veteran's memorial, a German First World War 17-cm trench mortar captured at Vimy Ridge on April 9, 1917 and a plaque commemorating the Centennial of the Confederation of Canada in 1967.
