He was born on November 21, 1831 in Waterbury, VT and died on August 31, 1915 in Burlington, VT. He attained the rank of Brevet Brigadier General in the Union Army. His Medal of Honor information and citation is: HENRY, WILLIAM W.

Citation: Though suffering from severe wounds, rejoined his regiment and let it in a brilliant charge, recapturing the guns of an abandoned battery.
