There are brick entry walls on the south and east entrances to Katie Cemetery. This dedication is located on the wall at the northeast corner of the cemetery. It is engraved on a granite plaque embedded in the pillar at the entrance.
John R. Barnes (1907-1959) and his wife Grace (1909-1995) were long time residents of Katie and are buried here. The dedication reads:
