Venezuela's national coat of arms on the pedestal of the statue Simón Bolívar in the park of the same name in Hamburg's Harvestehude district.

Venezuela's national coat of arms originally dates from 1836 and was changed several times - most recently with effect from 12 March 2006.
The shield is divided with upward curved cut and split at the top.
Above on the right 24 golden wheat ears are to be seen in red, symbol of the 24 federal states.
Above left in the golden field flags and weapons are shown. They symbolize the struggle for independence (sabres and swords), the struggle of the indigenous population (bow and arrow) and the struggle of the peasants and Afro-Venezuelan population (machete).
Below is a galloping white stallion on a blue background, as a symbol of independence. It is said to be Simón Bolívar's white horse.

Above the coat of arms there are two crossed silver cornucopias as symbols for prosperity and wealth, donating fruit. To the left and right of the coat of arms are a palm branch and a laurel branch as symbols of peace and glory.

Under the coat of arms, knotted with the branches, is a banner with the inscription

translated that means as much as:

Über dem Wappen befinden sich zwei Früchte spendende gekreuzte silberne Füllhörner als Symbole für Wohlstand und Reichtum. Links und rechts des Wappens sind ein Palm- und ein Lorbeerzweig als Symbole für Frieden und Ruhm.
