[EN] "The Finstertal reservoir is located at an altitude of 2300 m above sea level and has a capacity of 60 million m³. Before damming, there were two smaller, naturally formed lakes on its territory, which lay on a rocky basin that is suitable for receiving such large quantities of water. To fill up the dam with a height of 149 metres and a crown length of 650 metres, 4.5 million m³ of rock were used, which came entirely from the area of today's reservoir. The dam is sealed by an internal core of asphalt concrete. As this method had not yet been realised in such a size at the time of construction, the engineers installed 700 measuring devices, which still check the behaviour of the dam today.
