Two fine stone lions flank the entrance of the Stone Lion Inn, a stately Victorian mansion, that was built in 1907 by Mr. F. E. Houghton for his family. The mansion has an area of 8,000 square feet and has 4 floors. At the time of completion, it cost $11,900 and was the most expensive home in Guthrie. Now a bed-and-breakfast, guests can select from six suites. The third floor is said to be haunted by the ghost of a child who died of whooping cough in the home.
