High River: Home of Heartland leaves one wondering what is the "Heartland". One might think of an area not touched by any ocean, or vast rolling prairies where wheat glistens amber and waves in the cool breeze. Gently moving clouds in skies so blue wondering where the sky ends. Or is the "Heartland" in the middle of Alberta, where bustling cities like High River radiate the pulse of the city?
High River: Home of Heartland is the location of the famous TV drama "Heartland", that is partially filmed right here in High River. Heartland is now in its 12th season.
"Heartland is a Canadian family drama television series which debuted on CBC on October 14, 2007. The series is based on the Heartland book series by Lauren Brooke. Heartland follows sisters Amy and Lou Fleming, their grandfather Jack Bartlett, and Ty Borden, through the highs and lows of life at the ranch."
